Proto-Tel, Inc. was founded in 1970 as a custom plastic injection molded parts manufacturer. After developing several protective products for the telephone industry, we changed our focus to the development and manufacture of proprietary products exclusively for the telecommunications industry.

Over the last 30 years, our product line has broadened dramatically. Proto-Tel's 66 Block Protective Covers have become the industry standard. We manufacture covers to fit virtually all styles of blocks. Our unique Mini Patch Panels, produced in many different standard and custom configurations, are in use by the world's leading telecommunications companies, and Internet Service Providers. Proto-Tel's Outbound Line Sharing Products and Call Routing Devices provide economical line sharing solutions for the emerging Small Office/Home Office market. Central Office ID Products designed and manufactured by Proto-Tel, Inc., are used by Bell Operating Companies to facilitate identification of special circuits in Central Office Installations.

Proto-Tel's products are marketed and sold both under our own name and under private label for many of the leading telecommunication's manufacturers. We also design and manufacture many different custom products for our distributors and OEM customers, which are marketed and sold exclusively by them.
